Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Denver Broncos (Prologue)
Oct 14 2008, 11:23 PM EDT
Jacksonville versus Denver; A great AFC week six game. Jacksonville has a sneaky offense combined with a fierce defense, while Denver has a powerful offense and a shaky defense. So what does that mean? It means we are in store for one heck of a football game. The Jaguars pride themselves in their two-headed monster at running back that consists of seasoned veteran Fred Taylor along with touchdown hog Maurice Jones-Drew. It is an awesome combination that has put Jacksonville in prime position over the past couple of years. They also have a beastly defense that has “Big” John Henderson, Mike Peterson, and Reggie Nelson. The defense has totaled eight sacks, four forced fumbles, five interceptions, and two touchdowns so far on the season. It will be tough for Denver to break this unit down. But they will try to do so with the likes of Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, and Michael Pittman. Cutler has already thrown for 1,502 yards so far and 423 of them gave been collected by Marshall. They are the new Manning-Harrison connection. And if you think Jones-Drew has a nose for the end zone, Pittman must be an elephant running the ball as he has four touchdowns with none of them being over five yards long. But it is a tale of two sides as the Denver defense is totally offensive. You would think a unit consisting of Champ Bailey, D.J. Williams, and Dre’ Bly would be one of the tougher combos, but they have given up an average of 388 total yards on the season and have just recently lost to the Kansas City Chiefs because they could not stop Larry Johnson and the run game. This one looks to be a scoring fest in the Mile High City…
